Be sure your garden centre signs up for this year’s National Plastic Recycling Event. 
According to the 2011 and 2012 Garden Centres Canada Surveys, the garden centre industry in Canada sees great opportunity in the buy or grow local movement. 
The Perennial Plant Symposium is coming to Vancouver this summer July 21-27. The event includes two days of lectures and five days of tours.

LS Training, in partnership with Landscape Ontario, Garden Centres Canada and CNLA, has launched two new training videos designed specifically for garden centres.  Targeted at new employees, these videos cover "product knowledge" and "customer service".  Each module is only 20 minutes in length and can be done from home.
